Scrum & Agile

Scrum is a framework for project and product management, especially for agile software development. It was originally developed in software engineering, but is independent of it. Scrum is now used in many other areas. It is an implementation of lean and agile development for project management.

The curriculum consists of three seminars, each of which can be completed with an official certification exam:

ITSM Practitioner

Comming soon

This seminar provides the basic knowledge about the general tasks of IT to provide and continuously improve IT services for daily work.  It aims to impart the practical tasks and goals that an IT service management system (IT-SMS) has to fulfill.

About the Scrum&Agile seminars:

Domain Steering Committees (DSCs) consist of subject matter experts who ensure that the open curricula and the certification exams based on them are both theory-based and practical.  The DSC for this topic consists of the following members, who are also pleased about your suggestions:

  • Gerd Bauer; ITSM-Experte; iXventiv, München (Sprecher)
  • Mike Boyle; Coach Agile Organisationsentwicklung; Procurro Solutions Ges.m.b.H., Wien
  • Dierk Söllner; Berater, Trainer und Coach für IT Service Management und agile Organisationsentwicklung; Göttingen

The syllabus for the individual seminars is designed to give the participants the basic knowledge needed to work successfully as a member of a Scrum Team or to accompany teams outside of projects as an Agile Coach in their work.

The seminars are aimed at anyone who wants to learn an agile way of working and/or work in an agile project according to Scrum or who have a general interest in this topic.

In the Scrum Master Seminar you will learn how Scrum works. Thus, this seminar is the basis for all who want to take on a role (Scrum Master, Porduct Owner or Developer) in a Scrum team.

The Product Owner Seminar conveys the special knowledge to take over the role Product Owner.  The focus here is on how to build a product backlog in iterative steps, what are the benefits of formulating user stories based on the 3C principle and how to determine the usefulness of user stories in order to prioritize the product backlog properly.

In order to work successfully as an Agile Coach you need a profound knowledge of when and why the agile approach in projects is even successful. In this seminar you will get to know the background in order to successfully support the development of an agile mindset.

Examined will be the participants' abilities to "remember" the explained concepts and definitions and to "understand" them in such a way that they can be applied in practice.

Successful participants will receive an internationally recognized certificate issued by an independent body (Certible) to prove their acquired knowledge.

Depending on the seminar, the following graduation certificates can be obtained (details on the degrees can be found in the materials for download):

  • Scrum Foundation
  • Scrum Master
  • Product Owner
  • Agile Coach
